Planet Earth

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children...

We are the only species out of the millions who do not live in harmony with nature. We focus on greed and consumption first.

Approximately 10,000 years ago, free living animals made up 99% of the biomass and human beings only 1%.

Today this is reversing rapdily where human beings and the animals we own as property in other words domesticated animals consume landmass, reducing space for free living animals.

Your choice to consume animal products carries a significant impact on global warming, water scarcity, species extinction, amazon destruction, depletion of oceans and world hunger.

You cannot be an environmentalist and eat animal products. They directly impact how we chose to care for the planet.

We are in the middle of the largest mass extinction of species in the last 65 million years.

Rainforest is being cut down at one acre per second. It is estimated close to a 100 plant-, animal- and insect species are lost due to rainforest destruction.

We control the growth of every other species except our own...

This is earth today showing you the density of human popluation. This does not cover domesticated animals. Just because some areas are white does not mean that there are not people there conducting some type of animal impact.

In 1812 there were 1 billion people on this planet, in 1912 1.5 billion and in 2012 7 billion. We raise today approximately 70 billion farm animals. Around 216,000 people are born every day on the planet and it needs per day 34,000 new acres of farmable land.

Government Aid

Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed...

The interesting part about animal agriculture is the amount of aid pumped out from the tax payers purse.

Even if you do not eat meat or consume dairy products, part of your tax payment supports this industry in externalized costs. The above chart shows the aid pumped to the industry in 2013 from the Swedish government. No wonder that animal right advocates and animal activists are the number one threat to animal industry corporate profits and are therefore targeted for lobbyist movement, harassment, threats and even violence. Even if that scares you, there is an obligation for humanity to speak up for animals. While the industry relies on their ability to make a profit, our planet is being violated on its rights.

If everyone on the planet went vegan, then we did not have to kill animals which means we did not have to breed them and then we did not have to feed them. The planet would not have to be heading for a devastating reboot haunted by Natural Disasters.

We can feed every human being if we did no more than take the food we feed the animals and turn it into food for humans.

Wise consumption is much more complicated than wise production...

200 million acres of forest have been devastated since 1978. Approximately 5 million acres of rainforest are destroyed every year by the livestock industry around the world for grazing and growing feed.

Worldwide at least 40% of the grain is fed to the animals and more than 80% of the soybean production is used as animal feed. The worst part about the soybean is that not only does it contribute massively to deforestation of rainforest, but it is also exported to developed countries to be used as animal feed.

It is estimated that there will be a 40% shortage of fresh water by the year 2030. We have irreversible loss of biodiversity ecosystems and extinction of species faster than we have ever seen before. This means that it is not like Jurassic Park where we have saved the DNA, we have exterminated species and ecosystems.

If you look at the land occupation and the yield, you can produce on an average 15 more times more protein from plant based sources than from meat on any given area of land, using the same type of land. With today’s consumption, there is not enough planet to support it and there is defiantly not enough landmass to support the growing population with food.

Famine is not caused by a shortage of food; it's caused by a shortage of justice...

We have littles less than a billion-people staving and each hour 375 children die. 82% of the worlds starving children live in countries where food is fed to animals which is killed and eaten by more well-off individuals in developed countries.

Many of these issues are complexed with social, political, economic, and cultural variables. We have been fundraising for decades, yet starvation keeps rising.

First problem is overpopulation. We add about 1 million people on planet earth every 4 days.

Second, the way we live and consume items. All that derives from depleting resources.

Third, our dependency on fossil fuels. The line has gone steadily up since the 1950s.

Fourth, the way we nourish, our consumption of animal products.

The good thing is that we can change what we eat overnight. The first three items will unfortunately take longer, decades if not centuries.

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it...

Livestock sector produces 18% of global CO2 emissions. A contribution larger than the entire world transportation sector combined. 53% of Nitrous Oxide, 44% of Methane gas and 5% of Carbon Dioxide released in the atmosphere. This is the largest contributor to climate change.

Methane gas from livestock is 25-100 times more destructive than carbon dioxide from vehicles. Livestock is the leading cause of resource consumption and environmental degradation.

Livestock operations has created more than 500 nitrogen flooded dead zones around the world in our oceans, comprised more than 95,000 square miles of areas completely devoid of life.

Animal Agriculture

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated...

Organic grass fed or pasture fed beef, the new trend without antibiotics. It is a complete fabrication to trick you into the slaughtering of animals since they might be humane raised but there is no such thing as humane slaughter, killing is never humane in anyway shape or form.

It takes 23 months for a grass-fed animal to grow to the point of size and age ready for slaughter, while it takes 15 months for a grain-fed. That is an additional 8 months of water use, land use, feed, waste and in turns of the carbine footprint it is a huge difference.

This form of raising animals is more land intensive. It may require 5.5 kilograms of feed to produce 0.5 kilogra of animal product but on a grass-fed situation sometimes it is 10 times that much, it might be even 70-80 times. Grass fed cattle produce 40-50% more methane gas emission then grain fed.

The excrements of 80 billion land animals raised for food every year are not treated and go back to our water basins and oceans creating a lot of pollution.

It takes 9100 liters of water and 5.5 kilograms of grain to produce 0.5 kilogram of beef.

It takes 2500 liters of water to produce a cheese burger.

It takes 3785 liters of water to produce 4 liters of milk.

It requires per calorie over 10 times more land, water and energy which is only an average.

Organic cow will eat 64-68 kilograms of feed per day and drink 110-150 liters of water.

Due to the vast demand for grazing area, wildlife is being executed to protect the animals and do free up land for the meat- and dairy industry, i.e. bears, wolves, fox, lynx, and boar.

Commercial Fishing

You are so brave and quiet I forget you are suffering...

We often think of fish as a never-ending food source but that is far away from the truth.

Over 90% of all the big fish in the oceans are gone.

80% of the commercially fisheries are overexploited or depleted.

The fishing fleets are chasing the last of the fish even as far north as Antarctica which is as far away from land as you can get.

For every single pound of fish caught, there is at least five pounds of untargeted species trapped such as dolphins, whales, sea turtles, sharks, sea horses etc., other words known as bykill.

Between 40-50 million sharks are killed each year as bykill.

Fish have sensory reception. We learn how to resist the intake of information. There is as much evidence that fish feel pain and suffer as there is for other animals. Fish don’t audibly scream when they’re impaled on hooks or grimace when the hooks are ripped from their mouths, but their behavior offers evidence of their suffering, if we’re willing to look.

Fishing of any type will deplete the species but a serial depletion where one species will be minimized and the fishing industry moves to the next species. If the oceans die, then humanity dies. By the year 2048 it is expected for the oceans to be depleted of fish that can be commercially fished.

Earth Has A Fever

A fever is an expression of inner rage...

Greenhouse gases assault the atmosphere. They raise the temperature by trapping heat. Warmer temperatures mean less snow and ice. As they melt, what’s left behind are darker patches of land and water. If you don't know what dark colors do imagine wearing black clothes to the beach. Black absorbs more sunlight, thus emits more heat, and makes you warmer which is not good for you, nor the Earth. Adaptation to climate is very slow which means that the rate the climate is changing today, it will kill many animals and plants. Agricultural yield is also affected, meaning that the yield will decrease.

Here are some other possible symptoms of planetary fever:

Shrinking glaciers

Shifting plant and animal ranges

Sea level rise

More intense heat waves

Stronger hurricanes

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms then it’s time to seek attention right away.

Remember: the planet you save may be your own.

Be One With Nature

Nature is not a place to visit, it is home...

We love some animals and eat others because we are born into an invisible belief system, we practice speciesism. It conditions us that certain animals are to be eaten and others not.

Animals are no different from us in that regard and we think that their presence here on Earth is tremendously enriching. We are creating a holocaust where most people walk blindfolded and wish for peace on earth.

Life is very vivid to animals. In many cases they know who they are. They know who their friends are and who their rivals are. They have ambitions for higher status. They compete. Their lives follow the arc of a career, like ours do. We both try to stay alive, get food and shelter, and raise young for the next generation.

When we do not see something obviously, it becomes easier to maintain a problem free mythology. They have intelligence, they have knowledge and foremost they have love. When they are about to face death, they show fear, sadness, and anger.

Peace on earth is for all entities, not just humans. To watch is to show empathy, to act in their defense is to show love, to be victorious is to earn honor.
